Statement of AI usage

Where I use AI

Research assistant and learning tool

I use AI to help me understand high-level details of business verticals and industries. AI is never the final source for gathering information – I use information sources cited to follow-up and review context. I consider AI as a research assistant in gathering generalized information, to develop a baseline of knowledge only.

Troubleshooting

From time to time, I will use AI to find solutions for specific technical issues or bugs in websites.

Editing (with specific parameters)

Sometimes I use AI to get perspective on how articles may be interpreted, and if I can tone down technical language at all. This is restricted to editing only, and never as an idea generation tool.

UX structured content

When I write content for my clients, I use specifically trained LLM to provide suggestions on how to adjust content for:

  • SEO/GEO structure and readability
  • Reading level requirements and clarity review
  • Tone of voice review
  • Conversion-based language review
AI-produced content is never the final product, I review everything carefully and adjust for clarity.

Summarizing quantitative data

I use AI for summarizing quantitative research data (limited to a summary, all synthesized insights come from me).

Integrated tools

There are a variety of efficiencies and built-in AI components in the various programs I regularly use, these are ever-evolving, if you have any specific questions about the programs I use, I’m happy to chat more about this.

Where I DO NOT use AI

Personal communications

All communications from me are authentic and 100% me. I will never have AI support in communicating with you.

Understanding human thoughts and emotions

In any research work I do, I personally process qualitative feedback to understand the human component, and dissect the meaning behind the words. AI is still very weak in understanding human behaviour, unable to read between the lines of vague comments, and cannot distinguish between what humans say vs. what their behaviour shows.

Synthesizing research and insights

I never use AI to synthesize research and insights in final recommendation documents – these are always hand-picked suggestions with an overall consideration of both research findings and your personal business objectives and goals.
