About

I can make any conversation about UX (no matter how annoying that may be)

In our AI-focused world, empathy is the single-most important element to create meaningful connection and joy. I practice compassion every day in my work and personal life, and I’m proud to say that I can’t separate the two. At my core in both – I want to listen, understand, and create meaningful connections.

Biography

Experience and education

After getting my Bachelor of Design from NSCAD University, I started my career in graphic design and branding – working in agency in Halifax.

One of my clients needed a website built and I (naively) said ‘sure, can’t be that hard’. Well, I delivered, but it was a steep learning curve.

I kept delivering small-scale web builds, learning, and loved that I could now measure performance so easily. I moved to a more digital-focused agency where I learned about UI design, accessibility, and design systems from some of the best in the industry. I pursued formal education, becoming a certified UX professional through NN/g.

I took on a management role, and put my focus on research and strategy. I genuinely loved working with my team – mentoring and improving processes are closely linked to the problems I solve for clients. I developed a depth of industry experience in healthcare and social impact sectors, and found my niche in strategy informed by user experience.

In Spring of 2026, I left agency life to build something of my own, focused on the work I do best. My niche is UX strategy, not only in digital products but in systems and ways of working too. I’m genuinely energized by the potential of UX to improve how we think about, operate in, and deliver healthcare and social services.

I love meeting new people, talking about big dreams, and how to make the world just a little more human-centered, one project at a time.
